In Buenos Aires dollars or pesos?

To travel to the Argentina it is best to do with dollars, and change them once arrived to the country.

To move in the city always it is best to count on Argentine pesos. In businesses that aren't for tourists, in small shops and public transport do not accept dollars. It is never advisable to change money at the airport, in this place the value of the dollar is very unfavorable for the tourist. If you need to change money at Ezeiza airport the best place to do it is in the nation Bank of the Argentina.

To change money at banks and exchange houses it is necessary to present passport.

Banks.

Open at 10 am. and close at 15 pm. (some banks extend hours to 16 HR.). Money withdrawals can be made and other transactions at ATMs, which are available 24 hours, but with a few exceptions, only deliver Argentine pesos.

Electricity.

The electricity flow in Argentina is 220 volts, 50 cycles AC.

The outlets have 2 cylindrical holes or 2 flat holes with ground. It is advisable to travel with an attachment to these outlets to use hair dryer or Shaver.

Taxis.

They can be requested by phone or taken directly into the street.

In tourist areas, there are no difficulties to get one at any time.

Waiting doesn't demand, generally, more than a few minutes.

Easily recognized by their colors: black and yellow.

In addition, when the light signal is red, very visible, on the taximeter, which indicates that they are free. "Radio taxis" are considered safer.

Subway and buses in Buenos Aires.

The city has a complete network of urban transport, which includes subways , buses, taxis and limos, and trains.

Currently people use the SUBE card, http://www.sube.gob.ar, either coins (but the cost is higher, approximately the double).

Avoid  taking the subway at rush hours (morning of 8-10 hs. in direction to the downtown / in the afternoon of 17 to 19 hs. in the direction of the outskirts of the city). In the subway and public transport take care of Your belongings.

Trains travelling to the suburbs of Buenos Aires do not have good services, and sometimes there is not enough security.
